CHILD CARE OCCUPATION

Child Care Occupations is an Regional Occupation Program (ROP). It is open to adults and high school students over the age of sixteen. The goal of this class is to prepare students for entry level positions in all fields of the child care profession. Continuing education is stressed because most positions require college units in Early Childhood Education..
Classes meet every day Monday thru Friday. This class is currently being offered at Bloomington and Colton High School. Bloomington offers two classes, the first at 8:32-9:27 AM, the second at 9:34-10:29 AM. Colton offers the class at 12:13-1:08 PM, 1:15-2:10 PM and 2:17-3:12 PM. Community Classroom is an optional aspect of this program. This class is offered as a 18 week semester class.
Upon successful completion of this course students will have the appropriate knowledge and skills to work in the child care field.
